The Salon

In the tradition of the great French “Salons”, I am you host here to offer a place to debate and discuss the various issues and debates that must and should be taking place in contemporary photography both in Fine Art practice and in Commercial practice.  Not only do I work as a commercial photographer, I have previously worked and still do work in film and have written about photography and art for some twelve years now.  Yes as well as being a filthy artist, I’m a filthy critic too! I have been observing some rather worrying trends in commercial practice and I feel the urge to debunk a few myths here and although I am cat lover and abhore all animal cruelty, I say to hell with it and I am lobbing cats amongst that crowd of fat, syphallitic pigeons like they are cabbages being thrown at miscreant in the stocks.

So let’s keep the party polite, but turn up the heat on some topics which should really be served hot.
